About IMMSF

The Ian McGuire Music Scholarship Fund (IMMSF) was founded in 2022. Initiated and established by Dennis McGuire, Derek Haviland, and Justin Berger with funds donated in musician Ian McGuire’s memory to continue his life’s work and legacy.

Ian McGuire was a Philadelphia musician and piano teacher with over ten years of teaching experience. He graduated the distinguished Berklee College of Music in 2005. Berklee College of Music is a private music college in Boston, Massachusetts. It is the largest independent college of contemporary music in the world.

Ian established and was part of a number of bands through the years including MJ Project, Sonic Spank, The Blurry Nights, CIA, Let’s Danza! and McGuire Zwang Duo.
